Every piece starts as a rod of glass
and a stubborn idea.
Chapter 01 · The problem
We don’t do fragile.
Too much glass is made to look good on a shelf and die on the first knock. Thin walls, lazy bowls, one slip and it’s over.
So we started making pieces that fight back: thick-walled, hand-blown, built to eat heat and laugh at clumsy thumbs.
Chapter 02 · The maker
One maker. One torch.
We’re not a hype machine — just a small team of one, obsessed with durability, clarity, balance and that perfect bubble.
Every piece is hand-blown in studio and looked over countless times before it ever leaves.
Our glass isn’t precious. It’s peaceful. It’s practical. It’s tough — as in, actually tough.
Chapter 03 · The build
Built, then built again.
We test. We tweak the bowl geometry. We double and triple blow where it matters, using a thickening method that makes every Flute roughly twice as strong.
Standard, Signature or a Custom up to 45cm — the longer it gets, the more glass goes in, so it stays strong at length.
Chapter 04 · The finish
Clean before it’s yours.
Then we ISO-wash it, fire-purge it at high heat and vacuum-seal it — so the first thing you taste is… nothing.
No rinse ritual. No mystery residue. Peel, pack, enjoy.
Chapter 05 · The promise
When gravity does the classic “gotcha”.
You pick it up — not a dustpan.
And if something does break in the post, snap a photo of it in its packet and email support@smokex.au. We ship a replacement fast. You don’t send the broken one back.

More than glass — a movement.
We listen to our community, keep the collection fresh, and run colours in small batches that never come back the same way twice.
