SMOKEX borosilicate glass under heat

The material

Borosilicate, built for heat.

SMOKEX glass is made mainly of silica and boron oxide, giving it a very low coefficient of thermal expansion — it doesn’t rapidly expand or contract when heated.

Clean taste

Non-porous. Chemically stable.

No glass is unbreakable — but ours survives drops and knocks that would shatter the competition. And because it’s non-porous:

  • No absorption of residue, oils or odours
  • No flavour carry-over between uses
  • Safe with hot water, alcohol or glass cleaners
  • Doesn’t cloud or degrade over time
